The Art of the Spoken Word: Bangla Recitation (Abriti):
Bengali literature is celebrated for its lyrical richness and emotional depth, and recitation is one of its most powerful forms of expression. This course is designed to help students connect deeply with poetry—not just by reading it, but by performing it with clarity, rhythm, and feeling. With a balance of technical training and creative expression, students develop the ability to communicate meaning and emotion through their voice.
Core Learning Pillars:
Shuddho Ucharan (Pure Pronunciation):
Strong emphasis on correct pronunciation of Bengali vowels and consonants. Students are guided to refine their diction and overcome regional influences to achieve clear and standard recitation quality.
Chhanda & Taal (Rhythm and Meter):
Understanding poetic structures such as Matrabritta, Aksharbritta, and Swarabritta. Students learn how rhythm shapes meaning—when to pause, when to emphasize, and how to maintain flow.
The World of Chara (Rhymes):
Engaging with playful and rhythmic Bengali rhymes, especially beneficial for beginners and younger learners. This builds memory, confidence, and a natural sense of timing.
Bhaab & Abhibyakti (Emotion & Expression):
Training in voice modulation, expression, and interpretation. Students learn to analyze the mood and theme of poems—whether patriotic, romantic, humorous, or melancholic—and convey it effectively through voice and facial expression.
